As a leader in chronic pain and acute pain care in Venice, North Port, and Port Charlotte Florida, we provide all of our treatments right in our offices. Dr. Omar Henriquez treats many issues with pain such as neuropathy pain, chronic migraines, arthritis that causes pain in the lower back, neck or extremities, sciatica pain, spinal stenosis, and much more.
Pain care treatments include facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator, epidural injections, kyphoplasty, stem cells, and onward.
Each treatment is based on the specific type of pain you have, what this pain has been treated with already, how your body responds to treatment, and so many other factors – All of which are addressed in your appointment with Dr. Henriquez.
Every treatment only takes about 20 minutes to accomplish right in our offices.
What machines do we use to complete treatments?
Fluoroscopy Machine (left) – Similar to an x-ray machine that your body sits in. On the machine’s monitor, Dr. Omar can see the area he will be targeting (such as your spine, shoulder or knee). This helps identify what is causing pain in your body. In many situations, pain radiates outward and effects other part of the body that you may not expect. This in turn makes it difficult to gauge where the pain is originating without looking directly into your body using this machine.
Ultrasound Machine (right) – Once Dr. Omar has determined the proper course of action to treat your pain, the ultrasound machine comes into play. This machine shows the area of your body in real time so that he can guide in injections such as an epidural or facet joint injection.
The ultrasound machine uses high frequency sound waves to reflect off on the internal body parts – Organs, bones, tissue etc. As our monitor receives back these sound waves, it provides an imagine.
Radiofrequency Machine (left) – Used in our office for Radiofrequency Ablation, this machine turns electric current into thermal energy. This conversion allows Dr. Omar to deaden nerves at a low temperature. This machine is used in conjunction with the Ultrasound machine in order to “see” what he is doing during the treatment.
