Many times we see patients that have had surgery to treat chronic pain, and the surgery does not provide the relief expected.
In certain situations, there are a series of treatments we may suggest. For instance, if a patient is suffering from chronic lower back pain (that is not sciatica) Dr. Omar may try a Facet Joint Injection for treatment. If this treatment does not provide the expected pain relief, then a Radiofrequency Ablation may be tried.
It is important to know that even if one surgery or procedure did not provide the expected outcome, there is still hope that another will work for you.
Though a patient may have had a surgery to fix a particular issue, there may be residual pain from this area – Even if the surgery was a success. Therefore, solutions that will relieve pain may be necessary for someone to continue enjoying daily life.
